About Andy
Hi, my name is Andy Thomson, and I have been playing drums in performing bands since 1985 and teaching since 2001.
Now I’m fortunate enough that I’ve been able to do both as a full-time profession since 2005.
I set up my own teaching business in 2002 and offer tuition, on a 1-to-1 basis, to individuals of all ages and abilities in a fun and relaxing atmosphere!

Drum tuition
Andy teaches drums in a way where the student still learns the relevant skills that are required to play the instrument but hopefully gets some enjoyment out of learning in the meantime. He likes it to be seen as a leisure activity away from the classroom and, for the older of his students, as a release from the stresses of the everyday work routine.
